KiMS PTSA Member News & Events:

"How will revised math pathways affect my child?" "What is REALLY happening downtown on Wednesdays afterschool?" Join us for answers to these questions and more at our next PTSA general membership meeting on Tues, January 14th at 6:30pm in the KiMS library. We'll start with a MATH focused "ask me anything" with Principal Cassaro and then move into a short PTSA meeting with updates on recent upcoming school events. Lastly, we welcome Officer Dan, the KiMS Resource Officer to share some information about KiMS student safety and behavior in Downtown Kirkland as well as cyber safety at school and at home.

A request as we enter 2025: the KiMS PTSA is still seeking board members for open positions, especially parents of 6th graders. The majority of board members are parents of current 7th graders and to ensure a smooth transition of leadership over the next two years, we really need your help. Our PTSA provides funding through classroom and supplemental grants for everything from board games and calculators to musical instruments and teacher training. We assist with movie nights, dances, and impactful school speakers. Without the PTSA there is no Panther Playhouse, no book fair, no Pages for Pancakes, and no Winter Wishes.

It would truly be a loss for the KiMS community if there was a lapse in carrying out our mission: to advocate for students and their education.

The board positions we need to fill are below. Click each position title in the comments below to learn more. Board meetings for the remainder of the school year will be Feb 11, April 8, and June 10 at 5pm. Please reach out to president@kirklandptsa.org with any questions you might have.

3: MAKE AN ANNUAL GIFT TO THE SCHOOL

With a very small PTSA team for this school year, when families give a donation in early fall, it helps us know our budget and opportunities for this year, and whether we will need to do another fundraising push later in the school year to support school, student and staff needs.
