Students will learn chess fundamentals, tactics, checkmate patterns, tournament skills, and sportsmanship — all while having fun and making new friends.

Run by https://www.discnw.org/ Over nine weeks, students will build their ultimate skills in a fun, welcoming environment designed for both new and experienced middle school players. Each 90-minute session will include games and activities focused on throwing, catching, cutting, defense, teamwork, and game strategy. Players will learn the rules of ultimate and Spirit of the Game while developing confidence, communication, and decision-making on the field. Activities will be adaptable so newer players can learn the fundamentals while experienced players continue to challenge themselves and grow.

TGA Coach Ian runs the TGA tennis program at Kirkland Middle School over the summer.
We teach athletes the game of tennis using easy-to-understand concepts and interactive games that are fun and engaging. Using skill-based drills that can be done anywhere — indoors or outdoors, at school, or on the tennis court — students develop the fundamentals, explore academic concepts through gameplay, and practice life skills such as sportsmanship and respect. 5-Level Progression: Each player progresses through our 5-level program at their own pace. Our low student-to-coach ratio allows for individualized attention, meeting each student where they are in their journey and progression.
